Psalmet 97
1 Zoti mbretëron; le të gëzohet toka dhe le të ngazëllohen ishujt e mëdhenj.
Yahweh, hath become king, Let the earth exult, Let the multitude of coastlands rejoice.
2 Re dhe terr e mbështjellin; drejtësia dhe e drejta janë në themel të fronit të tij.
Clouds and thick darkness, are round about him, Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of his throne.
3 Një zjarr i shkon përpara dhe i zhduk armiqtë e tij rreth e qark.
Fire, before him, proceedeth, That it may consume, round about, his adversaries.
4 Vetëtimat e tij ndriçojnë botën, toka i shikon dhe dridhet.
His lightnings, have illumined, the world, The earth, hath seen, and hath trembled;
5 Malet shkrihen si dylli përpara Zotit, përpara Zotit të të gjithë tokës.
The mountains, like wax, have melted, At the presence of Yahweh, At the presence, of the Lord of all the earth.
6 Qiejtë shpallin drejtësinë e tij dhe tërë popujt shohin lavdinë e tij.
The heavens, have declared, his righteousness, —And all the peoples, have seen, his glory.
7 U ngatërrofshin të gjihë ata që u shërbejnë skulpturave dhe ata që mburren me idhujt; rënçin përmbys përpara atij të gjitha perënditë.
Let all who serve an image, be ashamed, They who boast themselves in things of nought, Bow down unto him, all ye gods.
8 Sioni ka dëgjuar dhe është gëzuar për to, dhe bijat e Judës janë gëzuar me gjykimet e tua, o Zot.
Zion, hath heard and rejoiced, And the daughters of Judah, have exulted, Because of thy righteous decisions, O Yahweh:
9 Sepse ti, o Zot, je Shumë i Larti mbi tërë tokën, ty të përlëvdojmë mbi gjithë perënditë e tjera.
For, thou, Yahweh, art Most High over all the earth, Greatly hast thou exalted thyself above all gods.
10 Ju që e doni Zotin urreni të keqen! Ai ruan jetën e shenjtorëve të tij dhe i çliron nga dora e të pabesëve.
Ye lovers of Yahweh! be haters of wrong, —He preserveth the lives of his men of lovingkindness, From the hand of the lawless, will he rescue them.
11 Drita ka dalë për të drejtin dhe gëzimi për ata që janë të drejtë nga zemra.
Light, is sown for the righteous one, And, for the upright in heart, rejoicing:
12 Ngazëllohuni tek Zoti, o njerëz të drejtë, dhe lëvdoni emrin e tij të shenjtë.
Rejoice, ye righteous, in Yahweh, And give ye thanks, at the mention of his holiness.
