Psalmet 64
1 Dëgjo zërin tim, o Perëndi, në vajtimin që të drejtoj ty; ruaje jetën time nga tmerri i armikut.
God, listen to me as I tell you the things that I am worried about. I am afraid of my enemies; so save/rescue me from them.
2 Më fshih nga dredhitë e njerëzve të këqij dhe nga turma zhurmëmadhe e atyre që kryejnë paudhësi.
Protect me from what wicked men are planning to do to me; protect me from that gang of men who do what is evil.
3 Këta e mprehin gjuhën e tyre si një shpatë, dhe në vend të shigjetave lëshojnë fjalë të hidhura
The hostile things they say [MTY] are like [SIM] [sharp] swords; their cruel words are like [SIM] arrows.
4 për të goditur fshehurazi të pafajmin; e godasin papritur pa asnjë frikë.
Without being afraid, they [lie about people and slander people] who have not done what is wrong, like someone who suddenly jumps up from where he is hiding and shoots [arrows] at his enemy [MET].
5 I japin zemër njeri tjetrit në veprime të liga; flasin si të na vënë kurthe dhe thonë: “Kush ka për t’i parë?”.
They encourage each other about doing the evil things that they are planning to do; they talk [with each other] about where they can set traps to catch people, and they think, “No one [RHQ] will see what we are doing,
6 Kurdisin gjëra të këqija dhe thonë: “Kemi përgatitur një plan të përsosur”. Mendimet e fshehura dhe zemra e njeriut janë të panjohëshme.
because we have planned very well the crime that we are going to commit!” No one can fully understand what people can think and plan!
7 Por Perëndia do të hedhë kundër tyre shigjetat e tij dhe ata do të rrëzohen papritur.
But [it will be as though] God will shoot his arrows at them, and suddenly they will be wounded.
8 Ata do të bien dhe e keqja që kanë bërë gjuhët e tyre do të bjerë mbi ta; kushdo që ka për t’i parë do të tundë kokën.
Because of what they say [MTY], he will get rid of them, and then everyone who sees [what has happened to] them will shake their heads [to ridicule them].
9 Atëherë tërë njerëzit do të kenë frikë dhe do të tregojnë veprën e Perëndisë, dhe do të njohin atë që ai ka bërë.
And then everyone will be afraid [to sin because of what might happen to them, also]; they will tell others what God has done, and they themselves will think much about it.
10 I drejti do të gëzohet tek Zoti dhe do të kërkojë strehë tek ai, dhe të gjihë të drejtët nga zemra do të përlëvdohen.
Righteous people should rejoice because of what Yahweh [has done]; they should go to him to (find protection/be safe); and all those who are godly will praise him.
