Psalmet 143
1 Dëgjo lutjen time, o Zot, vëru veshin lutjeve të mia; përgjigjmu me besnikërinë dhe drejtësinë tënde.
A Melody of David. O Yahweh, hear my prayer, Give ear to my supplications, In thy faithfulness, answer me, in thy righteousness.
2 Dhe mos hyr në gjyq me shërbëtorin tënd, sepse asnjë i gjallë nuk do të jetë i drejtë para teje.
Do not then enter into judgment with thy servant, for no one living, can appear just before thee.
3 Sepse armiku më përndjek, ai e ka rrëzuar deri për tokë jetën time; më detyron të banoj në vende të errëta, ashtu si ata që kanë vdekur prej një kohe të gjatë.
For an enemy hath pursued my soul, hath crushed, to the earth, my life, hath made me dwell in dark places, like the ancient dead.
4 Prandaj fryma ime dobësohet brenda meje, dhe zemra ime e ka humbur krejt brenda trupit tim.
Therefore hath my spirit, fainted concerning myself, Within me, hath, my heart, been confounded.
5 Kujtoj ditët e lashta; bie në mendime të thella mbi tërë veprat e tua; reflektoj mbi gjëra që kanë bërë duart e tua.
I have remembered the days of aforetime, I have talked with myself of every deed of thine, Of the work of thy hands, I would speak:
6 I zgjas duart e mia drejt teje; shpirti im është i etur për ty, si një tokë e thatë. (Sela)
I have spread out my hands unto thee, My soul, is as a thirsty land, for thee. (Selah)
7 Nxito të më përgjigjesh, o Zot, fryma ime po dobësohet; mos më fshih fytyrën tënde, që të mos bëhem i ngjashëm me ata që zbresin në gropë.
Speedily answer me, O Yahweh, My spirit faileth, —Do not hide thy face from me, or I shall be made like unto them who go down into the pit.
8 Më bëj të ndjej mirësinë tënde në mëngjes, sepse unë kam besim te ti; më trego rrugën nëpër të cilën duhet të eci, sepse unë e lartoj shpirtin tim drejt teje.
Let me hear, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, for, in thee, have, I trusted, —Let me know the way in which I should walk, for, unto thee, have I uplifted my soul.
9 Më çliro nga airmiqtë e mi, o Zot, te ti unë fshihem.
Rescue me from my foes, O Yahweh, Unto thee, have I come seeking refuge.
10 Më mëso so ta plotësoj vullnetin tënd, sepse ti je Perëndia im; Fryma jote e mirë le të më udhëheqë në tokë të shenjtë.
Teach me to do thy good pleasure, for, thou, art my God, —Thy spirit, is good, thou wilt set me down to rest in a level land.
11 Gjallëromë, o Zot, për hir të emrit tënd; me drejtësinë tënde më shpëto nga fatkeqësia.
For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, wilt thou give unto me life, In thy righteousness, wilt thou bring forth, out of distress, my soul;
12 Në mirësinë tënde shkatërro armiqtë e mi dhe zhduki tërë ata që e pikëllojnë shpirtin tim, sepse unë jam shërbëtori yt.
And, in thy lovingkindness, wilt thou exterminate my foes, —and destroy all the adversaries of my soul, because, I, am thy servant.
