Psalmet 118
1 Kremtojeni Zotin sepse ai është i mirë, sepse mirësia e tij vazhdon përjetë.
Tell Yahweh that you thank him very much for the good [things that he has done for you] He faithfully loves [us, his people], forever.
2 Po, Izraeli le të thotë tani: “Dhemshuria e tij vazhdon përjetë”.
You Israeli [people] should [repeatedly] shout, “He faithfully loves [us, his people], forever!”
3 Po, tani shtëpia e Aaronit le të thotë: “Dhemshuria e tij vazhdon përjetë”.
You [priests] who are descendants of Aaron should repeatedly shout, “He faithfully loves us, his people, forever!”
4 Po, le të thonë tani ata që kanë frikë nga Zoti: “Dhemshuria e tij vazhdon përjetë”.
All you who revere him should repeatedly shout, “He faithfully loves [us, his people], forever!”
5 Në ankth kërkova Zotin, dhe Zoti m’u përgjigj dhe më çoi larg.
When I was distressed, I called out to Yahweh, and he answered me and set me free [from my worries/troubles].
6 Zoti është për mua; unë nuk do të kem fare frikë; çfarë mund të më bëjë njeriu?
Yahweh is (on my side/helping me), so I will not be afraid [of anything]. No one [RHQ] can do anything that will [prevent God from blessing] me forever.
7 Zoti është për mua nga ata që më ndihmojnë, dhe unë do t’i shikoj triumfues armiqtë e mi.
[Yes], Yahweh is (on my side/helping me), [so] I will look triumphantly at my enemies [while he defeats them].
8 Éshtë më mirë të gjesh strehë tek Zoti se sa t’i kesh besim njeriut.
It is better to trust in Yahweh than to (depend on/trust in) people.
9 Éshtë më mirë të gjesh strehë tek Zoti se sa t’u kesh besim princave.
It is better to trust Yahweh to protect [us] than to trust [that influential/important] people [will protect us].
10 Tërë kombet më kishin rrethuar, por në emër të Zotit unë do t’i zhduk ato.
Armies of [MTY] many nations surrounded me, [but] Yahweh enabled me to defeat them by his power [MTY].
11 Më kishin rrethuar, po, më kishin rrethuar, por në emër të Zotit unë do t’i shkatërroj.
They completely surrounded me, [but] I defeated them all by the power of Yahweh.
12 Më kishin rrethuar si bleta, por u shuan si zjarr ferrishtash; në emër të Zotit unë do t’i shkatërroj.
They swarmed around me like [angry] bees; they were like a fire that blazes strongly, but only briefly, in a thornbush, [but] I defeated them by the power [MTY] that Yahweh gave me.
13 Ti më kishe shtyrë me dhunë për të më rrëzuar, por Zoti më ndihmoi.
[My enemies] attacked me fiercely and almost defeated me, but Yahweh helped me.
14 Zoti është forca ime dhe kënga ime, ai ka qenë shpëtimi im.
Yahweh is the one who makes me strong, and he is the one about whom I [always] sing; he has saved me [from my enemies].
15 Një britmë gëzimi dhe fitoreje jehon në çadrat e të drejtëve; dora e djathtë e Zotit bën çudi.
Listen to the joyful songs of victory being sung in the tents of godly/righteous people! They sing, “Yahweh has defeated our enemies by his mighty power [MTY];
16 E djathta e Zotit u ngrit; e djathta e Zotit bën çudi.
he has raised his strong right arm [to show he has defeated his enemies]. Yahweh has completely defeated them!”
17 Unë nuk do të vdes, por do të jetoj dhe do të tregoj veprat e Zotit.
I will not be killed [in battle]; I will live to proclaim the great things that Yahweh has done.
18 Zoti më ka ndëshkuar rëndë, por nuk më ka lënë në dorë të vdekjes.
Yahweh has punished me severely, but he has not allowed (me to die/[my enemies] to kill me).
19 Më hapni portat e drejtësisë; unë do të hyj dhe do të kremtoj Zotin.
[You gatekeepers], open for me the gates of the temple in order that I may enter and thank Yahweh.
20 Kjo është porta e Zotit, të drejtët do të kalojnë nëpër të.
Those are the gates [through which we enter the temple to worship] Yahweh; godly/righteous people enter those gates.
21 Unë do të të kremtoj, sepse më je përgjigjur dhe ke qenë shpëtimi im.
[Yahweh], I thank you that you answered my prayer, and you saved me [from my enemies].
22 Guri, që ndërtuesit kishin hedhur, u bë guri i qoshes.
[Yahweh’s promised/chosen king is like] [MET] the stone which the builders rejected [when they were building a house], [but that stone] became the (cornerstone/most important stone in the building).
23 Kjo është vepër e Zotit, dhe është një gjë e mrekullueshme në sytë tona.
(This was done by Yahweh/Yahweh has done this), and it is a wonderful thing for us to see.
24 Kjo është dita që Zoti ka bërë; le të gëzohemi dhe të ngazëllojmë në të.
This is the day in which [we remember that] Yahweh acted [powerfully to defeat our enemies]; we will rejoice and be glad/happy today.
25 O Zot, na ndihmo tani; o Zot, bëj që tani të kemi mbarësi.
Yahweh, we plead with you to [keep] rescuing us [from our enemies]. Yahweh, please help us (accomplish/do well) [what we want to do].
26 I bekuar qoftë ai që vjen në emër të Zotit; ne ju bekojmë nga shtëpia e Zotit.
Yahweh, bless the one who will come with your authority [MTY]. And from the temple we (bless/[ask Yahweh to] bless) all of you.
27 Zoti është Perëndia dhe ka bërë që mbi ne të shkëlqejë drita e tij; lidheni viktimën e flijimit në brirët e altarit.
Yahweh is God, and he has caused his light to shine on us. Come, carrying [palm] branches, and join the people [who are starting] the festival as they go to the altar.
28 Ti je Perëndia im, unë do të të kremtoj; ti je Perëndia im, unë do të të përlëvdoj.
[Yahweh], you are the God whom I [worship], and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will tell [everyone] that you are great!
29 Kremtoni Zotin, sepse ai është i mirë, sepse mirësia e tij vazhdon përjetë.
Thank Yahweh, because he does good things [for us] He will faithfully love [us] forever.
