1 Biri im, mos harro mësimet e mia dhe zemra jote le të ruajë urdhërimet e mia,
Mi sone, foryete thou not my lawe; and thyn herte kepe my comaundementis.
2 sepse do të të shtohen ditë të gjata, vite jete dhe paqeje.
For tho schulen sette to thee the lengthe of daies, and the yeeris of lijf, and pees.
3 Mirësia dhe e vërteta mos të lënçin kurrë; lidhi rreth qafës, shkruaji mbi tabelën e zemrës sate;
Merci and treuthe forsake thee not; bynde thou tho to thi throte, and write in the tablis of thin herte.
4 do të gjesh kështu hir dhe arsye në sytë e Perëndisë dhe të njerëzve.
And thou schalt fynde grace, and good teching bifore God and men.
5 Ki besim tek Zoti me gjithë zemër dhe mos u mbështet në gjykimin tënd;
Haue thou trist in the Lord, of al thin herte; and triste thou not to thi prudence.
6 pranoje në të gjitha rrugët e tua, dhe ai do të drejtojë shtigjet e tua.
In alle thi weies thenke thou on hym, and he schal dresse thi goyngis.
7 Mos e mbaj veten të ditur në sytë e tu, ki frikë nga Zoti dhe hiq dorë nga e keqja;
Be thou not wijs anentis thi silf; drede thou God, and go awei fro yuel.
8 kjo do të jetë shërim për nervat e tua dhe freskim për kockat e tua.
For whi helthe schal be in thi nawle, and moisting of thi boonys.
9 Ndero Zotin me pasurinë tënde dhe me prodhimet e para të çdo të ardhure që ke;
Onoure thou the Lord of thi catel, and of the beste of alle thi fruytis yyue thou to pore men;
10 hambarët e tu të grurit do të jenë plot e përplot dhe vozat e tua do të gufojnë me musht.
and thi bernes schulen be fillid with abundaunce, and pressours schulen flowe with wiyn.
11 Biri im, mos e përçmo ndëshkimin e Zotit dhe mos urre qortimin e tij,
My sone, caste thou not awei the teching of the Lord; and faile thou not, whanne thou art chastisid of him.
12 sepse Zoti qorton atë që do, si një baba djalin që atij i pëlqen.
For the Lord chastisith hym, whom he loueth; and as a fadir in the sone he plesith hym.
13 Lum ai njeri që ka gjetur diturinë dhe njeriu që ka përftuar arsyen.
Blessid is the man that fyndith wisdom, and which flowith with prudence.
14 Sepse fitimi i tij është më i mirë se fitimi i argjendit dhe fryti i tij vlen më tepër se ari i kulluar.
The geting therof is betere than the marchaundie of gold and of siluer; the fruytis therof ben the firste and clenneste.
15 Ajo është më e çmuar se perlat dhe mbarë gjërat më të këndshme nuk mund të barazohen me të.
It is preciousere than alle richessis; and alle thingis that ben desirid, moun not be comparisound to this.
16 Gjatësia e jetës është në të djathtë të saj, pasuria dhe lavdia në të majtë të saj.
Lengthe of daies is in the riythalf therof, and richessis and glorie ben in the lifthalf therof.
17 Rrugët e saj janë rrugë të kënaqshme dhe në të tërë shtigjet e saj mbretëron paqja.
The weies therof ben feire weies, and alle the pathis therof ben pesible.
18 Ajo është një dru i jetës për ata që e kapin dhe lum ata që mbahen fort atje.
It is a tre of lijf to hem that taken it; and he that holdith it, is blessid.
19 Me diturinë Zoti krijoi tokën dhe me zgjuarësinë i bëri të qëndrueshëm qiejtë.
The Lord foundide the erthe bi wisdom; he stablischide heuenes bi prudence.
20 Me diturinë e tij u hapën humnerat dhe retë japin vesë.
The depthis of watris braken out bi his wisdom; and cloudis wexen togidere bi dewe.
21 Biri im, këto gjëra mos u largofshin kurrë nga sytë e tu. Mbaje diturinë dhe të menduarit.
My sone, these thingis flete not awey fro thin iyen; kepe thou my lawe, and my counsel;
22 Ato do të jenë jetë për shpirtin tënd dhe një zbukurim në qafën tënde.
and lijf schal be to thi soule, and grace `schal be to thi chekis.
23 Atëherë do të ecësh i sigurt në rrugën tënde dhe këmba jote nuk do të pengohet.
Thanne thou schalt go tristili in thi weie; and thi foot schal not snapere.
24 Kur do të biesh për të fjetur, nuk do të kesh frikë; po, do të biesh dhe gjumi yt do të jetë i ëmbël.
If thou schalt slepe, thou schalt not drede; thou schalt reste, and thi sleep schal be soft.
25 Nuk do të druash llahtarën e papritur, as shkatërrimin e të pabesëve kur do të ndodhë,
Drede thou not bi sudeyne feer, and the powers of wickid men fallynge in on thee.
26 sepse Zoti do të jetë pranë teje dhe do të pengojë që këmba jote të kapet në ndonjë lak.
For the Lord schal be at thi side; and he schal kepe thi foot, that thou be not takun.
27 Mos i refuzo të mirën atij që i takon, kur e ke në dorë ta bësh.
Nil thou forbede to do wel him that mai; if thou maist, and do thou wel.
28 Mos i thuaj të afërmit tënd: “Shko dhe kthehu; do të të jap nesër”, kur e ke me vete gjënë e nevojshme.
Seie thou not to thi frend, Go, and turne thou ayen, and to morewe Y schal yyue to thee; whanne thou maist yyue anoon.
29 Mos kurdis asnjë të keqe kundër të afërmit tënd, ndërsa ai banon me besim bashkë me ty.
Ymagyne thou not yuel to thi freend, whanne he hath trist in thee.
30 Mos bëj padi kundër askujt pa shkak; po të jetë se nuk të ka bërë asnjë të keqe.
Stryue thou not ayens a man with out cause, whanne he doith noon yuel to thee.
31 Mos ki zili njeriun e dhunshëm dhe mos zgjidh asnjë nga rrugët e tij,
Sue thou not an vniust man, sue thou not hise weies.
32 sepse Zoti e neverit njeriun e çoroditur, por këshilla e tij është për njerëzit e ndershëm.
For ech disseyuer is abhomynacioun of the Lord; and his speking is with simple men.
33 Mallkimi i Zotit është në shtëpinë e të pabesit, por ai bekon banesën e të drejtëve.
Nedinesse is sent of the Lord in the hous of a wickid man; but the dwelling places of iust men schulen be blessid.
34 Me siguri ai tallet me tallësit, por i fal të përvuajturit.
He schal scorne scorneris; and he schal yyue grace to mylde men.
35 Njerëzit e urtë do të trashëgojnë lavdinë, por poshtërsia do të jetë trashëgimia e atyre që nuk kanë mend.
Wise men schulen haue glorie; enhaunsing of foolis is schenschipe.
