1 Mbas vdekjes së Jozueut, bijtë e Izraelit konsultuan Zotin, duke thënë: “Kush prej nesh ka për të vajtur i pari të luftojë kundër Kananejve?”.
Aftir the deeth of Josue the sones of Israel counseliden the Lord, and seiden, Who schal stie bifor vs ayens Cananei, and schal be duik of the batel?
2 Zoti u përgjegj: “Do të shkojë Juda; ja, vendin ia kam dhënë në duart e tij”.
And the Lord seide, Judas schal stie; lo! Y haue youe the lond in to hise hondis.
3 Atëherë Juda i tha Simeonit, vëllait të tij: “Eja me mua në vendin që më ra me short dhe do të luftojmë kundër Kananejve; pastaj edhe unë do të vij në vendin që të ra ty me short”. Dhe Simeoni u nis me të.
And Juda seide to Symeon, his brother, Stie thou with me in my lot, and fiyte thou ayens Cananei, that Y go with thee in thi lot.
4 Juda, shkoi, pra, dhe Zoti u la në dorë Kananejtë dhe Perezejtë; dhe në Bezek vranë dhjetë mijë burra.
And Symeon yede with hym; and Judas stiede. And the Lord bitook Cananey and Feresei in to `the hondis of hem, and thei killiden in Besech ten thousynde of men.
5 Dhe në Bezek gjetën Adoni-Bezekun dhe e sulmuan; mundën Kananejtë dhe Perezejtë.
And thei founden Adonybozech in Besech, and thei fouyten ayens hym, and smytiden Cananei, and Feresey.
6 Adoni-Bezeku ia mbathi, por ata e ndoqën e zunë dhe i prenë gishtërinjtë e mëdhenj të duarve dhe të këmbëve.
Forsothe Adonybozech fledde, whom thei pursueden, and token, and kittiden the endis of hise hondis and feet.
7 Atëherë Adoni-Bezeku tha: “Shtatëdhjetë mbretër me gishtërinjtë e mëdhenj të duarve dhe të këmbëve të prerë mblidhnin ato që mbeteshin në tryezën time. Perëndia më ktheu atë që kam bërë”. E çuan pastaj në Jeruzalem ku vdiq.
And Adonybozech seide, Seuenti kyngis, whanne the endis of hondis and feet weren kit awey, gaderiden relifs of metis vndur my bord; as Y dide, so God hath yolde to me. And thei brouyten hym in to Jerusalem, and there he diede.
8 Bijtë e Judës sulmuan Jeruzalemin dhe e morën; i vranë me shpatë banorët e tij dhe i vunë flakën qytetit.
Therfor the sones of Juda fouyten ayens Jerusalem, and token it, and smytiden bi the scharpnesse of swerd, and bitoken al the cytee to brennyng.
9 Pastaj bijtë e Judës zbritën të luftojnë Kananejtë, që banonin në krahinën malore, në Negev dhe në ultësirë.
And aftirward thei yeden doun, and fouyten ayens Cananey, that dwellide in the hilli places, and at the south, in `feeldi places.
10 Juda marshoi pastaj kundër Kananjve që banonin në Hebron (emri i të cilit më parë ishte Kirjath-Arba) dhe mundi Seshain, Ahimanin dhe Talmain.
And Judas yede ayens Cananei, that dwellide in Ebron, whos name was bi eld tyme Cariatharbe; and Judas killide Sisay, and Achyman, and Tholmai.
11 Që këtej marshoi kundër banorëve të Debirit (që më parë quhej Kirjath-Sefer).
And fro thennus he yede forth, and yede to the dwelleris of Dabir, whos eld name was Cariathsepher, that is, the citee of lettris.
12 Atëherë Kalebi tha: “Atij që do të sulmojë Kiriath-Seferin dhe do ta shtjerë në dorë, unë do t’i jap për grua bijën time Aksah”.
And Caleph seide, Y schal yyue Axa, my douyter, wijf to hym that schal smyte Cariathsepher, and schal waste it.
13 E pushtoi Othnieli, bir i Kenazit, vëllai i vogël i Kalebit, dhe ky i dha për grua bijën e tij Aksah.
And whanne Othonyel, sone of Seneth, the lesse brother of Caleph, hadde take it, Caleph yaf Axa, his douyter, wijf to hym.
14 Kur ajo erdhi të banojë me të, e bindi t’i kërkojë të atit të saj një fushë. Sapo ajo zbriti nga gomari, Kalebi e pyeti: “Çfarë kërkon?”.
And hir hosebonde stiride hir, goynge in the weie, that sche schulde axe of hir fadir a feeld; and whanne sche hadde siyid, sittynge on the asse, Caleph seide to hir, What hast thou?
15 Ajo u përgjegj: “Më bëj një dhuratë, me qenë se ti më dhe toka në Negev, më jep edhe disa burime ujore”. Atëherë ai i dhuroi burimet e sipërme dhe ato të poshtme.
And sche answeride, Yiue thou blessyng to me, for thou hast youe a drye lond to me; yyue thou also a moyst lond with watris. And Caleph yaf to hir the moist lond aboue, and the moist lond bynethe.
16 Atëherë bijtë e Keneos, vjehrrit të Moisiut, shkuan nga qyteti i palmave bashkë me bijtë e Judës në shkretëtirën e Judës, që ndodhet në Negev, afër Aradit; shkuan dhe u vendosën midis popullit.
Forsothe the sones of Cyney, `alye of Moyses, stieden fro the citee of palmes with the sones of Juda, in to the desert of his lot, which desert is at the south of Arath; and dwelliden with hym.
17 Pastaj Juda u nis bashkë me vëllanë e tij Simeon dhe mundi Kananejtë që banonin në Tsefath dhe vendosën shfarosjen e tyre; për këtë arsye qyteti u quajt Hormah.
Sotheli Judas yede with Symeon, his brother; and thei smytiden togidere Cananei, that dwellide in Sephar, and killiden hym; and the name of that citee was clepid Horma, that is, cursyng, `ether perfit distriyng, for thilke citee was distried outerly.
18 Juda mori edhe Gazën me territorin e saj, Askalonin me territorin e tij dhe Ekronin me territorin e tij.
And Judas took Gaza with hise coostis, and Ascolon, and Accaron with hise termes.
19 Kështu Zoti mbajti anën e Judës, që dëboi banorët e krahinës malore, por nuk mundi të dëbojë banorët e fushës, sepse kishin qerre të hekurta.
And the Lord was with Judas, and he `hadde in possessioun the hilli places; and he myyte not do awey the dwelleris of the valei, for thei weren plenteuouse in `yrun charis, scharpe as sithis.
20 Pastaj i dhanë Hebronin Kalebit, ashtu si kishte thënë Moisiu; dhe ai i dëboi tre bijtë e Anakut.
And `the sones of Israel yauen Ebron to Caleph, as Moises hadde seid, which Caleph dide awei for it thre sones of Enach.
21 Bijtë e Beniaminit nuk arritën t’i dëbojnë Jebusejtë që banonin në Jeruzalem; kështu Jebusejtë kanë banuar bashkë me bijtë e Beniaminit në Jeruzalem deri në ditën e sotme.
Forsothe the sones of Beniamyn diden not awei Jebusei, the dwellere of Jerusalem; and Jebusei dwellide with the sones of Beniamyn in Jerusalem `til in to present dai.
22 Edhe shtëpia e Jozefit u ngrit gjithashtu kundër Bethelit, dhe Zoti qe me ta.
Also the hows of Joseph stiede in to Bethel, and the Lord was with hem.
23 Shtëpia e Jozefit dërgoi njerëz për të vëzhguar në Bethel (qytet që më parë qyhej Luc).
For whanne thei bisegiden the citee, that was clepid Lusa bifore,
24 Zbuluesit panë një burrë që dilte nga qyteti dhe i thanë: “Tregona rrugën për të hyrë në qytet dhe ne do të tregohemi të mëshirshëm me ty”.
thei sien a man goynge out of the citee, and thei seiden to hym, Schewe thou to vs the entrynge of the cytee, and we schulen do mercy with thee.
25 Ai u tregoi rrugën për të hyrë në qytet, dhe ata i vranë me shpatë banorët e qytetit, por e lanë të shkojë atë burrë me gjithë familjen e tij.
And whanne he hadde schewid to hem, thei smytiden the citee bi scharpnes of swerd; sotheli thei delyueriden that man and al his kynrede.
26 Ai shkoi në vendin e Hitejve dhe ndërtoi aty një qytet që e quajti Luc, emër që mban edhe sot e kësaj dite.
And he was delyuerede, and yede in to the lond of Sethym, and bildide there a citee, and clepid it Luzam; which is clepid so til in to present dai.
27 Manasi përkundrazi nuk i dëboi banorët e Beth-Sheanit dhe të fshatrave të tij kufitarë, as banorët e Tanaakut dhe të fshatrave të tij kufitarë, as banorët e Dorit dhe të fshatrave të tij kufitarë, as banorët e Ibleamit dhe të fshatrave të tij kufitarë, as banorët e Megidos dhe të fshatrave të tij kufitarë, sepse Kananejtë ishin të vendosur të qëndronin në atë vend.
Also Manasses dide not awei Bethsan and Thanael with her townes, and the dwelleris of Endor, and Geblaam and Magedo with her townes; and Cananei bigan to dwelle with hem.
28 Më vonë, kur Izraeli u bë i fortë, i nënshtroi Kananejtë dhe i bëri skllevër, por nuk i dëboji krejt.

29 As Efraimi nuk i dëboi Kananejtë që banonin në Gezer; kështu Kananejtë banuan në Gezer në mes të tyre.
Sotheli Effraym killide not Cananei that dwellyde in Gaser, but dwellide with hym.
30 As Zabuloni nuk i dëboi banorët e Kitronit dhe ata të Nahalolit; kështu Kananejtë banuan në mes të tyre, por iu nënshtruan skllavërisë.
Zabulon dide not awey the dwelleris of Cethron, and of Naalon; but Cananei dwellide in the myddis of hym, and was maad tributarie to him.
31 As Asheri nuk i dëboi banorët e Akosit, as banorët të Sidonit, as ata të Ahlabit, të Akzibit, të Helbahut, të Afikut dhe të Rehobit;
Also Aser dide not awey the dwelleris of Acho, and of Sidon, of Alab, and of Azazib, and of Alba, and Aphech, and of Aloa, and of Pha, and of Roob; and he dwellide in the myddis of Cananey,
32 kështu bijtë e Asherit u vendosën në mes të Kananejve që banonin në këtë vend, sepse nuk i dëbuan.
dwellere of that lond, and killide not hym.
33 As Neftsali nuk i dëboi banorët e Beth-Shemeshit dhe ata të Beth-Anathit, dhe u vendos në mes të Kananejve që banonin në këtë vend; por banorët e Beth-Shemeshit dhe të Beth-Anathit iu nënshtruan skllavërisë.
Neptalym dide not awei the dwelleris of Bethsames, and of Bethanach; and he dwellide among Cananey, dwellere of the lond; and Bethsamytis and Bethanytis weren tributarie to hym.
34 Amorejtë i detyruan bijtë e Danit të qëndronin në krahinën malore dhe nuk i lanë të zbresin në luginë.
And Ammorrey helde streit the sones of Dan in the hil, and yaf not place to hem to go doun to pleynere places;
35 Amorejtë ishin të vendosur të qëndronin në malin Heres, në Ajalon dhe në Shaal-Bim; por kur dora e shtëpisë së Jozefit u fuqizua, ata iu nënshtruan skllavërisë.
and he dwellide in the hil of Hares, `which is interpretid, Witnessyng, in Hailon, and in Salabym. And the hond of the hows of Joseph was maad heuy, and he was maad tributarie to hym.
36 Kufiri i Amorejve shtrihej nga e përpjeta e Akrabimit, nga Sela e lart.
And the terme of Ammorrei was fro the stiyng of Scorpioun, and the stoon, and hiyere places.
