Jobi 4
1 Atëherë Elifazi nga Temani u përgjigj dhe tha:
Then Eliphaz the Thaemanite answered and said,
2 “A do të të bezdiste ndokush në rast se do të provonte të të fliste? Por kush mund t’i ndalë fjalët?
Hast you been often spoken to in distress? but who shall endure the force of your words?
3 Ja ti ke mësuar shumë prej tyre dhe ua ke fortësuar duart e lodhura;
For whereas you have instructed many, and have strengthened the hands of the weak one,
4 fjalët e tua u kanë dhënë zemër të lëkundurve dhe kanë forcuar gjunjët që gjunjëzohen.
and have supported the failing with words, and have imparted courage to feeble knees.
5 Por tani që e keqja të zuri ty, nuk je në gjendje të veprosh; të ka goditur ty, dhe ti e ke humbur fare.
Yet now [that] pain has come upon you, and touched you, you are troubled.
6 Mëshira jote a nuk është vallë besimi yt, dhe ndershmëria e sjelljes sate, shpresa jote?
Is not your fear [founded] in folly, your hope also, and the mischief of your way?
7 Mbaje mend: cili i pafajmë është zhdukur vallë, dhe a janë shkatërruar vallë njerëzit e ndershëm?
Remember then who has perished, being pure? or when were the true-hearted utterly destroyed?
8 Ashtu siç e kam parë unë vetë, ata që lërojnë paudhësinë dhe mbjellin mjerimin, vjelin frytet e tyre.
Accordingly as I have seen men ploughing barren places, and they that sow them will reap sorrows for themselves.
9 Me frymën e Perëndisë ata vdesin, era e zemërimit të tij i tret ata.
They shall perish by the command of the Lord, and shall be utterly consumed by the breath of his wrath.
10 Vrumbullima e luanit, zëri i luanit të egër dhe dhëmbët e luanëve të vegjël janë thyer.
The strength of the lion, and the voice of the lioness, and the exulting cry of serpents are quenched.
11 Luani vdes për mungesë gjahu dhe të vegjlit e luaneshës shpërndahen.
The old lion has perished for lack of food, and the lions' whelps have forsaken one another.
12 Një fjalë më ka ardhur fshehurazi dhe veshi im ka zënë pëshpëritjen e saj.
But if there had been any truth in your words, none of these evils would have befallen you. Shall not mine ear receive excellent [revelations] from him?
13 Midis mendimeve të vizioneve të natës, kur një gjumë i rëndë bie mbi njerëzit,
But [as when] terror falls upon men, with dread and a sound in the night,
14 më pushtoi një llahtari e madhe dhe një rrëqethje që bëri të dridhen gjithë kockat e mia.
horror and trembling seized me, and caused all my bones greatly to shake.
15 Një frymë më kaloi përpara, dhe m’u ngritën përpjetë qimet e trupit.
And a spirit came before my face; and my hair and flesh quivered.
16 Ai u ndal, por nuk munda ta dalloj pamjen e tij; një figurë më rrinte para syve; kishte heshtje, pastaj dëgjova një zë që thoshte:
I arose and perceived it not: I looked, and there, was no form before my eyes: but I only heard a breath and a voice, [saying],
17 “A mund të jetë një i vdekshëm më i drejtë se Perëndia? A mund të jetë një njeri më i pastër se Krijuesi i tij?
What, shall a mortal be pure before the Lord? or a man be blameless in regard to his works?
18 Ja, ai nuk u zë besë as shërbëtorëve të tij, dhe gjen madje të meta edhe tek engjëjt e tij;
Whereas he trust not in his servants, and perceives perverseness in his angels.
19 aq më tepër tek ata që banojnë në shtëpi prej argjile, themelet e të cilave janë në pluhur, dhe shtypen si një tenjë.
But [as for] them that dwell in houses of clay, of whom we also are formed of the same clay, he smites them like a moth.
20 Nga mëngjesi deri në mbrëmje shkatërrohen; zhduken për fare, dhe asnjeri nuk i vë re.
And from the morning to evening they no longer exist: they have perished, because they can’t help themselves.
21 Litarin e çadrës së tyre vallë a nuk ua këpusin? Ata vdesin, por pa dituri””.
For he blows upon them, and they are withered: they have perished for lack of wisdom.
