Veprat e Apostujve 16
1 Dhe ai arriti në Derbë dhe në Listra; këtu ishte një dishepull me emër Timote, biri i një gruaje judease besimtare, por me baba grek,
BUT a certain disciple was there whose name was Timotheus, the son of a certain Jihudoytha, a believer, and his father an Aramoya.
2 për të cilin jepnin dëshmi të mirë vëllezërit e Listrës dhe të Ikonit.
And all the disciples who were of Lystra and Ikonia testified concerning him.
3 Pali deshi që të dilte me të; kështu e mori, e rrethpreu për shkak të Judenjve që ishin në ato vende, sepse të gjithë e dinin se babai i tij ishte grek.
This Paulos willed to take with him; and he took and circumcised him because of the Jihudoyee who were in the place; for they all knew his father that he was an Aramoya.
4 Dhe, duke kaluar nëpër qytete, i urdhëronin ata të zbatojnë vendimet që ishin marrë nga apostujt dhe nga pleqtë në Jeruzalem.
And when they had gone into the cities they preached and instructed them to keep those statutes which the apostles and presbyters who were in Urishlem had written.
5 Kishat, pra, po forcoheshin në besim dhe rriteshin në numër përditë.
So were the churches confirmed in the faith, and multiplied in number every day.
6 Kur ata po kalonin nëpër Frigji dhe në krahinën e Galatisë, u penguan nga Fryma e Shenjtë që të shpallin fjalën në Azi.
But they went through the countries of Phrygia and Galatia; and the Spirit of Holiness forbad them, that they should not preach the word of Aloha in Asia.
7 Si arritën në kufijtë e Misisë, ata kërkuan të shkojnë në Bitini, por Fryma nuk i lejoi.
And when they came to the region of Mysia they willed to go from thence to Bithynia; and the Spirit of Jeshu permitted them not.
8 Kështu, pasi e përshkuan Misinë, zbritën në Troas.
AND when they had gone forth from Mysia they came to the region of Troas.
9 Gjatë natës Palit iu shfaq një vegim. I rrinte para një burrë Maqedonas, që i lutej dhe i thoshte: “Kalo në Maqedoni dhe na ndihmo”.
And in a vision of the night, Paulos saw as a certain man, a Makedonoia, who stood and besought him, saying, Come unto Makedunia and help me.
10 Mbasi e pa vegimin, kërkuam menjëherë të shkojmë në Maqedoni, të bindur se Zoti na kishte thirrur që t’ua shpallim atyre ungjillin.
But when Paulos had seen this vision, he immediately willed to go forth to Makedunia, for he understood that our Lord called us to evangelize them.
11 Prandaj, duke lundruar nga Troasi, u drejtuam për në Samotrakë, dhe të nesërmen në Neapolis,
And we went from Troas and proceeded directly to Samuthracia, and from thence the day after we came to Neapolis the city,
12 dhe prej andej në Filipi, që është qyteti i parë i asaj ane të Maqedonisë dhe koloni romake; dhe qëndruam disa ditë në atë qytet.
and from thence to Philippos, which is the head of Makedunia, and is a colony. But we were in that city certain days.
13 Ditën e së shtunës dolëm jashtë qytetit anës lumit, ku ishte vendi i zakonshëm për lutje; dhe, si u ulëm, u flisnim grave që ishin mbledhur atje.
And we went out on the day of shabath without the gate of the city to the bank of the river, because there was seen a house of prayer; and sitting down we discoursed with the women who assembled there.
14 Dhe një grua, me emër Lidia, që ishte tregtare të purpurtash, nga qyteti i Tiatirës dhe që e adhuronte Perëndinë, po dëgjonte. Dhe Zoti ia hapi zemrën për të dëgjuar gjërat që thoshte Pali.
And a certain female, a seller of purple, who feared Aloha, her name was Lydia, of Theatira the city, (was there, ) whose heart our Lord opened, and she heard that which Paulos spake.
15 Pasi ajo u pagëzua me familjen e saj, na u lut duke thënë: “Në qoftë se më keni gjykuar se jam besnike ndaj Zotit, hyni në shtëpinë time dhe rrini”. Dhe na detyroi të pranojmë.
And she was baptized, she and the sons of her house. And she besought us and said, If it be that you truly think that I have believed in our Lord, come, remain in my house; and she constrained us much.
16 Dhe, kur po shkonim për lutje, na doli para një skllave e re që kishte një frymë falli, e cila, duke u treguar fatin njerëzve, u sillte shumë fitime zotërinjve të saj.
AND it was while we went to the house of prayer, a certain damsel met us in whom was a spirit of divination, and she had produced her lords much gain by her divination.
17 Ajo u vu të ndjekë Palin dhe ne, dhe bërtiste duke thënë: “Këta njerëz janë shërbëtorë të Perëndisë Shumë të Lartë dhe ju shpallën udhën e shpëtimit”.
And she came after Paulos and after us, and cried and said, These men are the servants of Aloha the Most High, and announce to us the way of salvation.
18 Dhe ajo e bëri këtë shumë ditë me radhë, por Pali, i mërzitur, u kthye dhe i tha frymës: “Unë të urdhëroj në emër të Jezu Krishtit të dalësh prej saj”. Dhe fryma doli që në atë çast.
And this she did many days. And Paulos was indignant, and said to that spirit, I command thee in the name of Jeshu Meshiha to come out of her. And in that hour it came out.
19 Por zotërinjtë e saj, kur panë se u humbi shpresa e fitimit të tyre, i kapën Palin dhe Silën dhe i tërhoqën te sheshi i tregut përpara arkondëve;
And when her lords saw that the hope of their gain had gone from her, they laid hold on Paulos and Shilo and drew them to the public place, and brought them unto the prefects and to the chiefs of the city,
20 dhe si ua paraqitën pretorët, thanë: “Këta njerëz, që janë Judenj, e turbullojnë qytetin tonë,
and said, These men are troubling our city, because they are Jihudoyee,
21 dhe predikojnë zakone që për ne, që jemi Romakë, nuk është e ligjshme t’i pranojmë dhe t’i zbatojmë”.
and are preaching to us those rites which it is not permitted us to receive and perform, because we are Rumoyee.
22 Atëherë turma u lëshua e gjitha bashkë kundër tyre: dhe pretorëve, ua grisën atyre rrobat dhe urdhëruan t’i rrahin me kamxhik.
And a great gathering assembled against them. Then the prefects rent their vestments, and commanded to scourge them.
23 Dhe si i rrahën me shumë goditje, i futën në burg duke urdhëruar rojtarin e burgut t’i ruajë me kujdes.
And when they had scourged them much, they cast them into the house of the bound, and commanded the keeper of the house of the bound to keep them watchfully.
24 Ky, si mori një urdhër të tillë, i futi në pjesën më të brendshme të burgut dhe ua shtrëngoi këmbët në dru.
But he, having received this command, brought in and shut them in the inner house of the house of the bound, and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 Aty nga mesnata Pali dhe Sila po luteshin dhe i këndonin himne Perëndisë; dhe të burgosurit i dëgjonin.
And in the dividing of the night, Paulos and Shilo prayed and glorified Aloha, and the chained-ones heard them.
26 Befas u bë një tërmet i madh, saqë u tundën themelet e burgut; dhe në atë çast u hapën të gjitha dyert dhe të gjithëve iu zgjidhën prangat.
And suddenly there was a great trembling, and the foundations of the house of the bound trembled, and at once the doors of all were opened, and the chains of all were loosened.
27 Rojtari i burgut, kur u zgjua dhe pa dyert e burgut të hapura, nxori shpatën dhe donte të vriste veten, duke menduar se të burgosurit kishin ikur.
And when the keeper of the house of the bound awoke, and saw that the doors of the house of the bound were open, he took a sword and sought to kill himself, because he thought that the chained-ones had fled.
28 Por Pali thirri me zë të lartë: “Mos i bëj ndonjë të keqe vetes, sepse ne të gjithë jemi këtu”.
And Paulos cried with a high voice and said to him, Do thyself no harm, for we are all here.
29 Atëherë ai kërkoi një dritë, u turr brenda dhe duke u dridhur i tëri u ra ndër këmbë Palit dhe Silës;
And he kindled for himself a lamp, and sprang, and came, perturbed, and fell at the feet of Paulos and of Shilo:
30 pastaj i nxori jashtë dhe tha: “Zotërinj, ç’duhet të bëj unë që të shpëtohem?”.
and he brought them without, and said to them, My lords, what behoveth me to do that I may be saved?
31 Dhe ata i thanë: “Beso në Zotin Jezu Krisht dhe do të shpëtohesh ti dhe shtëpia jote”.
And they said to him, Believe in our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 Pastaj ata i shpallën fjalën e Zotit atij dhe gjithë atyre që ishin në shtëpinë e tij.
And they spoke with him the words of the Lord, and with all the sons of his house.
33 Dhe ai i mori që në atë orë të natës dhe ua lau plagët. Dhe ai dhe të gjithë të tijtë u pagëzuan menjëherë.
And in the same hour of that night, he took and washed them from their stripes, and was forthwith baptized, and all the sons of his house.
34 Mbasi i çoi në shtëpinë e vet, ua shtroi tryezën dhe u gëzua me gjithë familjen e tij që kishte besuar në Perëndinë.
And he took and brought them up into his house, and set for them the table, and exulted, he and the sons of his house, in the faith of Aloha.
35 Kur u gdhi, pretorët dërguan liktorët t’i thonë rojtarit të burgut: “Lëri të lirë ata njerëz”.
And when it was morning the prefects sent to the bearers of rods to say to the chief of the house of the bound, Loose those men.
36 Dhe rojtari i burgut i tregoi Palit këto fjalë: “Pretorët kanë dërguar fjalë që të liroheni; dilni, pra, dhe shkoni në paqe”.
AND when the chief of the house of the bound heard, he entered and spoke that word to Paulos, that the prefects have sent that you might he dismissed; and now go forth (and) proceed in peace.
37 Por Pali u tha atyre: “Mbasi na kanë rrahur botërisht pa qenë të dënuar në gjyq, ne që jemi qytetarë romakë, na futën në burg dhe tani na nxjerrin fshehtas? Jo, kurrsesi! Le të vijnë vetë ata të na nxjerrin jashtë”.
Paulos saith to him, They scourged us in the eyes of the world, (we) being innocent, (and) Roman men, and threw us into the house of the bound; and now would they bring us forth secretly? No, indeed, but they shall come and bring us out.
38 Liktorët ua tregon këto fjalë pretorëve; dhe ata, kur dëgjuan se ishin qytetarë romakë, u frikësuan.
And the bearers of rods went and told the prefects these words which had been spoken to them. And when they heard that they were Rumoyee, they feared.
39 Atëherë erdhën dhe iu lutën atyre, dhe si i nxorën, iu lutën që të largohen nga qyteti.
And they came to them, and besought them to come forth and depart from the city.
40 Atëherë ata, si dolën nga burgu, hynë në shtëpinë e Lidias dhe, kur panë vëllezërit, i ngushëlluan; dhe ikën.
And when they had gone forth from the house of the bound, they entered with Lydia, and there saw the brethren, and consoled them. And they went forth
