1 Salomoni, bir i Davidit, u forcua shumë në mbretërinë e tij, dhe Zoti, Perëndia i tij, qe me të dhe e bëri jashtëzakonisht të madh.
Therfor Salomon, the sone of Dauid, was coumfortid in his rewme, and the Lord was with hym, and magnefiede hym an hiy.
2 Salomoni i foli tërë Izraelit, komandantëve të mijesheve dhe të qindsheve, gjyqtarëve, tërë princave të të gjithë Izraelit, të parëve të shtëpive atërore.
And Salomon comaundide to al Israel, to tribunes, and centuriouns, and to duykis, and domesmen of al Israel, and to the princes of meynees;
3 Pastaj Salomoni bashkë me tërë asamblenë shkoi në vendin e lartë, që ishte në Gabaon, sepse aty ndodhej çadra e mbledhjes së Perëndisë që Moisiu, shërbëtori i Zotit, kishte ndërtuar në shkretëtirë.
and he yede with al the multitude in to the hiy place of Gabaon, where the tabernacle of boond of pees of the Lord was, which tabernacle Moyses, the seruaunt of the Lord, made in wildirnesse.
4 Arkën e Perëndisë, përkundrazi, Davidi e kishte mbartur nga Kirjath-Jearimi në vendin që kishte përgatitur për të; në të vëretë ai kishte ngritur për të një çadër në Jeruzalem.
Forsothe Dauid hadde brouyt the arke of God fro Cariathiarym in to the place which he hadde maad redy to it, and where he hadde set a tabernacle to it, that is, in to Jerusalem.
5 Altarin prej bronzi, që e kishte bërë Betsaleeli, bir i Urit, që ishte bir i Urit, e vendosi përpara tabernakullit të Zotit. Salomoni dhe asambleja shkuan për të kërkuar Zotin.
And the brasun auter, which Beseleel, the sone of Vri, sone of Vr, hadde maad, was there bifor the tabernacle of the Lord; whiche also Salomon and al the chirche souyte.
6 Atje Salomoni u ngjit në altarin prej bronzi përpara Zotit, që ishte në çadrën e mbledhjes, dhe mbi të ofroi një mijë olokauste.
And Salomon stiede to the brasun autir, bifor the tabernacle of boond of pees of the Lord, and offride in it a thousynde sacrifices.
7 Atë natë Perëndia iu shfaq Salomonit dhe i tha: “Më kërko atë që do dhe unë do të ta jap”.
Lo! `forsothe in that nyyt God apperide to hym, `and seide, Axe that that thou wolt, that Y yyue to thee.
8 Salomoni iu përgjigj Perëndisë: “Ti je treguar shumë dashamirës me Davidin, atin tim, dhe më ke bërë mua të mbretëroj në vend të tij.
And Salomon seide to God, Thou hast do greet mersi with Dauid, my fadir, and hast ordeyned me kyng for hym.
9 Tani, o Zot Perëndi, u realizoftë premtimi yt që i ke bërë Davidit, atit tim, sepse ti me ke bërë mbret mbi një popull të madh si pluhuri i tokës!
Now therfor, Lord God, thi word be fillid, which thou bihiytist to Dauid, my fadir; for thou hast maad me kyng on thi greet puple, which is so vnnoumbrable as the dust of erthe.
10 Më jep, pra, dituri dhe zgjuarsi, që të mund të hyj dhe të dal para këtij populli, sepse kush mund ta qeverisë, vallë, këtë popull të madh tëndin?”.
Yiue thou to me wisdom and vndurstondyng, that Y go in and go out bifor thi puple; for who may deme worthili this thi puple, which is so greet?
11 Perëndia i tha Salomonit: “Me qenë se kjo ishte gjëja që kishe në zemër dhe nuk më ke kërkuar as pasuri, as mall, as lavdi, as jetën e armiqve të tu dhe as jetë të gjatë, por kërkove për vete diturin dhe zgjuarsin që të mund të qeverisësh popullin tim mbi të cilin të vura mbret,
Sotheli God seide to Salomon, For this thing pleside more thin herte, and thou axidist not richessis, and catel, and glorie, nether the lyues of them that hatiden thee, but nether ful many daies of lijf; but thou axidist wisdom and kunnyng, that thou maist deme my puple, on which Y ordeynede thee kyng,
12 dituria dhe zgjuarsia të janë dhënë. Përveç tyre do të të jap pasuri, mall dhe lavdi, të cilat nuk i ka pasur asnjë mbret para teje dhe nuk do t’i ketë asnjë pas teje”.
wisdom and kunnyng ben youun to thee; forsothe Y schal yyue to thee richessis, and catel, and glorie, so that noon among kyngis, nether bifor thee nethir aftir thee, be lijk thee.
13 Salomoni u kthye pastaj nga vendi i lartë që ishte në Gabaon, nga çadra e mbledhjes, në Jeruzalem, dhe mbretëroi mbi Izraelin.
Therfor Salomon cam fro the hiy place of Gabaon in to Jerusalem, bifor the tabernacle of boond of pees, and he regnede on Israel.
14 Salomoni grumbulloi qerre dhe kalorës, dhe pati një mijë e katërqind qerre dhe dymbëdhjetë mijë kalorës, të cilët i vendosi në qytetet e qerreve dhe pranë mbretit në Jeruzalem.
And he gaderide to hym chaaris and knyytis, and a thousynde and foure hundrid charis weren maad to hym, and twelue thousynde of knyytis; and he made hem to be in the citees of cartis, and with the kyng in Jerusalem.
15 Mbreti veproi gjithashtu në mënyrë të tillë që në Jeruzalem argjendi dhe ari të ishin të rëndomtë si gurët, dhe kedrat të bollshëm si fiku i Egjiptit në fushë.
And the kyng yaf in Jerusalem gold and siluer as stoonys, and cedris as sicomoris, that comen forth in feeldi places in greet multitude.
16 Kuajt e Salomonit importoheshin nga Egjipti dhe nga Kue; tregtarët e mbretit shkonin t’i merrnin në Kue me një çmim të caktuar.
Forsothe horsis weren brouyt to hym fro Egipt, and fro Choa, bi the marchauntis of the kyng, whiche yeden, and bouyten bi prijs,
17 Ata sillnin dhe importonin nga Egjipti një qerre për gjashtëqind sikla argjendi dhe një kalë për njëqind e pesëdhjetë. Kështu, me anë të këtyre tregtarëve, ua eksportonin tërë mbretërve të Hitejve dhe të Sirisë.
`a foure `horsid carte for sixe hundrid platis of siluer, and an hors for an hundrid and fifti. In lijk maner biyng was maad of alle the rewmes of citees, and of the kingis of Sirie.
