2 i Kronikave 27

1 Jothami ishte njëzet e pesë vjeç kur filloi të mbretërojë dhe mbretëroi gjashtëmbëdhjetë vjet në Jeruzalem. E ëma quhej Jerushah; ishte bija e Tsadokut.

Joathan was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede sixtene yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Jerusa, the douyter of Sadoch.

2 Ai bëri atë që është e drejtë në sytë e Zotit, pikërisht ashtu si kishte vepruar i ati, Uziahu; (megjithëse nuk hyri në tempullin e Zotit), por populli i tij vazhdonte të korruptohej.

He dide that, that was riytful bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis whiche Ozie, his fadir, hadde do; outakun that he entride not in to the temple of the Lord, and the puple trespasside yit.

3 Ai ndërtoi portën e sipërme të shtëpisë të Zotit dhe bëri shumë punime në muret e Ofelit.

He bildide the hiy yate of the hous of the Lord, and he bildide manye thingis in the wal of Ophel;

4 Përveç kësaj ndërtoi qytete në krahinën malore të Judës dhe kala dhe kulla ndër pyje.

also he bildide citees in the hillis of Juda, and he bildide castels and touris in forestis.

5 I shpalli gjithashtu luftë mbretit të bijve të Amonit dhe i mundi ata. Bijtë e Amonit i dhanë atë vit njëqind talenta argjendi, dhjetë mijë kore gruri dhe dhjetë mijë elbi. Po kjo sasi iu dorëzua nga bijtë e Amonit vitin e dytë dhe të tretë.

He fauyt ayens the kyng of the sones of Amon, and ouercam hym; and the sones of Amon yauen to hym in that tyme an hundrid talentis of siluer, and ten thousynde choris of barli, and so many of wheete; the sones of Amon yauen these thingis to hym in the secounde and in the thridde yeer.

6 Kështu Jothami u bë i fuqishëm, sepse rregulloi ecjen e tij përpara Zotit, Perëndisë të tij.

And Joathan was maad strong, for he hadde dressid hise weies bifor `his Lord God.

7 Pjesa tjetër e bëmave të Jothamit, tërë luftërat dhe ndërmarrjet e tij janë shkruar në librin e mbretërve të Izraelit dhe të Judës.

Forsothe the residue of wordis of Joathan, and alle hise batels, and werkis, ben writun in the book of kyngis of Israel and of Juda.

8 Ai ishte njëzet e pesë vjeç kur filloi të mbretërojë, dhe mbretëroi gjashtëmbëdhjetë vjet në Jeruzalem.

He was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede sixtene yeer in Jerusalem.

9 Pastaj Jothamin pushoi bashkë me etërit e tij dhe e varrosën në qytetin e Davidit. Në vend të tij mbretëroi i biri, Ashazi.

And Joathan slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden hym in the citee of Dauid; and Achaz, his sone, regnede for him.
