1 Mbas këtyre ngjarjeve, Davidi mundi Filistejtë dhe i poshtëroi, duke u hequr nga dora Gathin dhe fshatrat përreth tij.
Forsothe it was doon aftir these thingis, that Dauid smoot Filisteis, and made hem lowe, and took awey Geth and vilagis therof fro the hond of Filisteis;
2 Ai mundi gjithashtu Moabitët; dhe Moabitët u bënë nënshtetas dhe haraçpagues të Davidit.
and that he smoot Moab; and Moabitis weren maad seruauntis of Dauid, and brouyten yiftis to hym.
3 Davidi mundi përveç tyre Hadarezerin, mbretin e Tsobahut, deri në Hamath, ndërsa ai shkonte për të vendosur sundimin e tij gjatë lumit Eufrat.
In that tyme Dauid smoot also Adadezer, kyng of Soba, of the cuntrey of Emath, whanne he yede for to alarge his empire til to the flood Eufrates.
4 Davidi i mori një mijë qerre, i kapi shtatë mijë kalorës dhe njëzet mijë këmbësorë. Davidi preu gjithashtu kërcinjtë e tërë kuajve, por kurseu mjaft për njëqind qerre.
Therfor Dauid took a thousynde foure horsid cartis of his, and seuene thousynde of horsmen, and twenti thousynde of foot men; and he hoxide alle the horsis of charis, outakun an hundrid foure horsid cartis, whiche he kepte to hym silf.
5 Kur Sirët e Damaskut erdhën për të ndihmuar Hadarezerin, mbretin e Tsobahut, Davidi vrau njëzet e dy mijë Sirë.
Forsothe also Sirus of Damask cam aboue, to yyue help to Adadezer, kyng of Soba, but Dauid smoot also of hise two and twenti thousynde of men;
6 Pastaj Davidi vendosi garnizone në Sirinë e Damaskut, dhe Sirët u bënë nënshtetas dhe haraçpagues të Davidit; dhe Zoti e përkrahte Davidin kudo që ai shkonte.
and he settide kniytis in Damask, that Sirie also schulde serue hym, and brynge yiftis. And the Lord helpide hym in alle thingis to whiche he yede.
7 Davidi mori mburojat e arta që shërbëtorët e Hadarezerit kishin me vete dhe i çoi në Jeruzalem.
And Dauid took goldun arowe caasis, whiche the seruauntis of Adadezer hadden, and he brouyte tho in to Jerusalem;
8 Davidi mori edhe një sasi të madhe bronzi në Tibhath dhe në Kun, qytete të Hadarezerit. Me të Salomoni ndërtoi detin prej bronzi, shtyllat dhe veglat prej bronzi.
also and of Thebath and of Chum, the citees of Adadezer, he took ful myche of bras, wherof Salomon made the brasun see, `that is, waischynge vessel, and pileris, and brasun vessels.
9 Kur Tou, mbret i Hamathit, mësoi që Davidi kishte mundur tërë ushtrinë e Hadarezerit, mbretit të Tsobahut,
And whanne Thou, kyng of Emath, hadde herd this thing, `that is, that Dauid hadde smyte al the oost of Adadezer, kyng of Soba,
10 i dërgoi mbretit David Hadoramin, birin e tij, për ta përshëndetur dhe për ta bekuar, sepse kishte luftuar kundër Hadarezerit dhe e kishte mundur (Hadarezeri ishte gjithnjë në luftë me Toun); dhe Hadorami pruri me vete lloj-lloj enësh ari, argjendi dhe bronzi.
he sente Aduram, his sone, to Dauid the kyng, for to axe of hym pees, and for to thanke hym, for he hadde ouercome and hadde smyte Adadezer; for whi king Adadezer was aduersarie of Thou.
11 Mbreti David ia shenjtëroi edhe këto Zotit, ashtu si kishte bërë me argjendin dhe me arin që u kishte marrë tërë kombeve, domethënë Edomitëve, Moabitëve, Amonitëve, Filistejve dhe Amalekitëve.
But also kyng Dauid halewide to the Lord alle the vessels of gold, and of siluer, and of bras; and the siluer, and the gold, which the kyng hadde take of alle folkis, as wel of Idumee and Moab, and of the sones of Amon, as of Filisteis and Amalech.
12 Përveç kësaj Abishai, bir i Tserujahut, mundi tetëmbëdhjetë mijë Edomitë në luginën e Kripës.
Forsothe Abisai, the sone of Saruye, smoot Edom in the valei of salt pittis, `ten and eiyte thousynde.
13 Vendosi garnizone edhe në Idumea dhe tërë Edomitët u bënë nënshtetas të Davidit; dhe Zoti e përkrahte Davidin kudo që shkonte.
And he settide strong hold in Edom, that Ydumei schulde serue Dauid. And the Lord sauide Dauid in alle thingis, to whiche he yede.
14 Kështu Davidi mbretëroi mbi tërë Izraelin, duke shqiptuar gjykime dhe duke administruar drejtësinë tërë popullit të tij.
Therfor Dauid regnede on al Israel, and dide doom and riytwisnesse to al his puple.
15 Joabi, bir i Tserujahut, ishte komandant i ushtrisë; Jozafati, bir i Ahikudit, ishte arkivist;
Forsothe Joab, the sone of Saruye, was `on the oost; and Josaphat, the sone of Ayluth, was chaunceler;
16 Tsadoku, bir i Ahitubit, dhe Abimeleku, bir i Abiatharit, ishin priftërinj; Shavsha ishte sekretar;
forsothe Sadoch, the sone of Achitob, and Achymalech, the sone of Abyathar, weren preestis; and Susa was scribe;
17 Benajahu, bir i Jehojadait, ishte kryetar i Kerethejve dhe i Pelethejve; bijtë e Davidit ishin të parët në krah të mbretit.
and Banaye, the sone of Joiada, was on the legiouns Cerethi and Phelethi; sotheli the sones of Dauid weren the firste at the hond of the kyng.
