Luke 10
1 Now after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of him into every city and place where he was about to come.
ਤਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਰਪਰਾਨ੍ ਸਪ੍ਤਤਿਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਨਿਯੁਜ੍ਯ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਯਾਨਿ ਨਗਰਾਣਿ ਯਾਨਿ ਸ੍ਥਾਨਾਨਿ ਚ ਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਤਾਨਿ ਨਗਰਾਣਿ ਤਾਨਿ ਸ੍ਥਾਨਾਨਿ ਚ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਜਨੌ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਤਵਾਨ੍|
2 Then he said to them, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest.
ਤੇਭ੍ਯਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ ਚ ਸ਼ਸ੍ਯਾਨਿ ਬਹੂਨੀਤਿ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਛੇਦਕਾ ਅਲ੍ਪੇ; ਤਸ੍ਮਾੱਧੇਤੋਃ ਸ਼ਸ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਛੇਦਕਾਨ੍ ਅਪਰਾਨਪਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਿਤੁੰ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਵਾਮਿਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਯਧ੍ਵੰ|
3 Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
ਯੂਯੰ ਯਾਤ, ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ, ਵ੍ਰੁʼਕਾਣਾਂ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਮੇਸ਼਼ਸ਼ਾਵਕਾਨਿਵ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਣੋਮਿ|
4 Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the way.
ਯੂਯੰ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਦ੍ਰੰ ਮਹਦ੍ ਵਾ ਵਸਨਸਮ੍ਪੁਟਕੰ ਪਾਦੁਕਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਮਾ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲੀਤ, ਮਾਰ੍ਗਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਕਮਪਿ ਮਾ ਨਮਤ ਚ|
5 Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’
ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਯੂਯੰ ਯਦ੍ ਯਤ੍ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼ਥ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਨਸ੍ਯਾਸ੍ਯ ਮਙ੍ਗਲੰ ਭੂਯਾਦਿਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੰ ਵਦਤ|
6 If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.
ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਨੇ ਯਦਿ ਮਙ੍ਗਲਪਾਤ੍ਰੰ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤਨ੍ਮਙ੍ਗਲੰ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਨੋਚੇਤ੍ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪਰਾਵਰ੍ੱਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
7 Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house.
ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਤੇ ਯਤ੍ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦੇਵ ਭੁਕ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਪੀਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਸ੍ਮਿੰਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਨੇ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਥ; ਯਤਃ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਕਾਰੀ ਜਨੋ ਭ੍ਰੁʼਤਿਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਹਤਿ; ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਾਦ੍ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੰ ਮਾ ਯਾਸ੍ਯਥ|
8 Into whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat the things that are set before you.
ਅਨ੍ਯੱਚ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਸੁ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਨਗਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਲੋਕਾ ਯਦਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਆਤਿਥ੍ਯੰ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਯਤ੍ ਖਾਦ੍ਯਮ੍ ਉਪਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦੇਵ ਖਾਦਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ|
9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
ਤੰਨਗਰਸ੍ਥਾਨ੍ ਰੋਗਿਣਃ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਥਾਨ੍ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੀਯੰ ਰਾਜ੍ਯੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਨ੍ਤਿਕਮ੍ ਆਗਮਤ੍ ਕਥਾਮੇਤਾਞ੍ਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ|
10 But into whatever city you enter and they don’t receive you, go out into its streets and say,
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਪੁਰੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਲੋਕਾ ਯਦਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਆਤਿਥ੍ਯੰ ਨ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਨਗਰਸ੍ਯ ਪਨ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਕਥਾਮੇਤਾਂ ਵਦਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ,
11 ‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਨਗਰੀਯਾ ਯਾ ਧੂਲ੍ਯੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਸੁ ਸਮਲਗਨ੍ ਤਾ ਅਪਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਤਿਕੂਲ੍ਯੇਨ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਸਮ੍ਪਾਤਯਾਮਃ; ਤਥਾਪੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਰਾਜ੍ਯੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਮੀਪਮ੍ ਆਗਤਮ੍ ਇਤਿ ਨਿਸ਼੍ਚਿਤੰ ਜਾਨੀਤ|
12 I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
ਅਹੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਭ੍ਯੰ ਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਕਥਯਾਮਿ, ਵਿਚਾਰਦਿਨੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਨਗਰਸ੍ਯ ਦਸ਼ਾਤਃ ਸਿਦੋਮੋ ਦਸ਼ਾ ਸਹ੍ਯਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
ਹਾ ਹਾ ਕੋਰਾਸੀਨ੍ ਨਗਰ, ਹਾ ਹਾ ਬੈਤ੍ਸੈਦਾਨਗਰ ਯੁਵਯੋਰ੍ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਯਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ਾਨਿ ਆਸ਼੍ਚਰ੍ੱਯਾਣਿ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣ੍ਯਕ੍ਰਿਯਨ੍ਤ, ਤਾਨਿ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਿ ਯਦਿ ਸੋਰਸੀਦੋਨੋ ਰ੍ਨਗਰਯੋਰਕਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤ, ਤਦਾ ਇਤੋ ਬਹੁਦਿਨਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਤੰਨਿਵਾਸਿਨਃ ਸ਼ਣਵਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾਣਿ ਪਰਿਧਾਯ ਗਾਤ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਭਸ੍ਮ ਵਿਲਿਪ੍ਯ ਸਮੁਪਵਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਸਮਖੇਤ੍ਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤ|
14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.
ਅਤੋ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਿਵਸੇ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਦਸ਼ਾਤਃ ਸੋਰਸੀਦੋੰਨਿਵਾਸਿਨਾਂ ਦਸ਼ਾ ਸਹ੍ਯਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
ਹੇ ਕਫਰ੍ਨਾਹੂਮ੍, ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੰ ਯਾਵਦ੍ ਉੰਨਤਾ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਨਰਕੰ ਯਾਵਤ੍ ਨ੍ਯਗ੍ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਸਿ| (Hadēs g86)
16 Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਾਤਿ ਸ ਮਮੈਵ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਾਤਿ; ਕਿਞ੍ਚ ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਵਜ੍ਞਾਂ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਸ ਮਮੈਵਾਵਜ੍ਞਾਂ ਕਰੋਤਿ; ਯੋ ਜਨੋ ਮਮਾਵਜ੍ਞਾਂ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਚ ਸ ਮਤ੍ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕਸ੍ਯੈਵਾਵਜ੍ਞਾਂ ਕਰੋਤਿ|
17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
ਅਥ ਤੇ ਸਪ੍ਤਤਿਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾ ਆਨਨ੍ਦੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਾਗਤ੍ਯ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਭਵਤੋ ਨਾਮ੍ਨਾ ਭੂਤਾ ਅਪ੍ਯਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਵਸ਼ੀਭਵਨ੍ਤਿ|
18 He said to them, “I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven.
ਤਦਾਨੀਂ ਸ ਤਾਨ੍ ਜਗਾਦ, ਵਿਦ੍ਯੁਤਮਿਵ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗਾਤ੍ ਪਤਨ੍ਤੰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨਮ੍ ਅਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਮ੍|
19 Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.
ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ ਸਰ੍ਪਾਨ੍ ਵ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼੍ਚਿਕਾਨ੍ ਰਿਪੋਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮਾਂਸ਼੍ਚ ਪਦਤਲੈ ਰ੍ਦਲਯਿਤੁੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਭ੍ਯੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਤਿੰ ਦਦਾਮਿ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਕਾਪਿ ਹਾਨਿ ਰ੍ਨ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
20 Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
ਭੂਤਾ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਵਸ਼ੀਭਵਨ੍ਤਿ, ਏਤੰਨਿਮਿੱਤਤ੍ ਮਾ ਸਮੁੱਲਸਤ, ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੇ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਨਾਮਾਨਿ ਲਿਖਿਤਾਨਿ ਸਨ੍ਤੀਤਿ ਨਿਮਿੱਤੰ ਸਮੁੱਲਸਤ|
21 In that same hour, Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”
ਤਦ੍ਘਟਿਕਾਯਾਂ ਯੀਸ਼ੁ ਰ੍ਮਨਸਿ ਜਾਤਾਹ੍ਲਾਦਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ ਹੇ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗਪ੍ਰੁʼਥਿਵ੍ਯੋਰੇਕਾਧਿਪਤੇ ਪਿਤਸ੍ਤ੍ਵੰ ਜ੍ਞਾਨਵਤਾਂ ਵਿਦੁਸ਼਼ਾਞ੍ਚ ਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ੍ਤਾਤ੍ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਮੇਤਦ੍ ਅਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼੍ਯ ਬਾਲਕਾਨਾਂ ਪੁਰਸ੍ਤਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਾਕਾਸ਼ਯ ਏਤਸ੍ਮਾੱਧੇਤੋਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਹੇ ਪਿਤਰਿੱਥੰ ਭਵਤੁ ਯਦ੍ ਏਤਦੇਵ ਤਵ ਗੋਚਰ ਉੱਤਮਮ੍|
22 Turning to the disciples, he said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”
ਪਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਣਿ ਮਯਿ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਿਤਾਨਿ ਪਿਤਰੰ ਵਿਨਾ ਕੋਪਿ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੰ ਨ ਜਾਨਾਤਿ ਕਿਞ੍ਚ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੰ ਵਿਨਾ ਯਸ੍ਮੈ ਜਨਾਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਤੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਤਞ੍ਚ ਵਿਨਾ ਕੋਪਿ ਪਿਤਰੰ ਨ ਜਾਨਾਤਿ|
23 Turning to the disciples, he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see,
ਤਪਃ ਪਰੰ ਸ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪਰਾਵ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯ ਗੁਪ੍ਤੰ ਜਗਾਦ, ਯੂਯਮੇਤਾਨਿ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਣਿ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਥ ਤਤੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਚਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੂੰਸ਼਼ਿ ਧਨ੍ਯਾਨਿ|
24 for I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.”
ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨਹੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਯੂਯੰ ਯਾਨਿ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਣਿ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਥ ਤਾਨਿ ਬਹਵੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦਿਨੋ ਭੂਪਤਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਦ੍ਰਸ਼਼੍ਟੁਮਿੱਛਨ੍ਤੋਪਿ ਦ੍ਰਸ਼਼੍ਟੁੰ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਨੁਵਨ੍, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਯਾ ਯਾਃ ਕਥਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੂਯਨ੍ਤੇ ਤਾਃ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਤੁਮਿੱਛਨ੍ਤੋਪਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਤੁੰ ਨਾਲਭਨ੍ਤ|
25 Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰਮ੍ ਏਕੋ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਪਕ ਉੱਥਾਯ ਤੰ ਪਰੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਤੁੰ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛ, ਹੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਅਨਨ੍ਤਾਯੁਸ਼਼ਃ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਯੇ ਮਯਾ ਕਿੰ ਕਰਣੀਯੰ? (aiōnios g166)
26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?”
ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ, ਅਤ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥੇ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਯਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਲਿਖਿਤਮਸ੍ਤਿ? ਤ੍ਵੰ ਕੀਦ੍ਰੁʼਕ੍ ਪਠਸਿ?
27 He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
ਤਤਃ ਸੋਵਦਤ੍, ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਨ੍ਤਃਕਰਣੈਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਪ੍ਰਾਣੈਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਸ਼ਕ੍ਤਿਭਿਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਚਿੱਤੈਸ਼੍ਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੌ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੁਰੁ, ਸਮੀਪਵਾਸਿਨਿ ਸ੍ਵਵਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੁਰੁ ਚ|
28 He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”
ਤਦਾ ਸ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ, ਤ੍ਵੰ ਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਵੋਚਃ, ਇੱਥਮ੍ ਆਚਰ ਤੇਨੈਵ ਜੀਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਸਿ|
29 But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸ ਜਨਃ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਨਿਰ੍ੱਦੋਸ਼਼ੰ ਜ੍ਞਾਪਯਿਤੁੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁੰ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛ, ਮਮ ਸਮੀਪਵਾਸੀ ਕਃ? ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ,
30 Jesus answered, “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
ਏਕੋ ਜਨੋ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮ੍ਪੁਰਾਦ੍ ਯਿਰੀਹੋਪੁਰੰ ਯਾਤਿ, ਏਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਦਸ੍ਯੂਨਾਂ ਕਰੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਪਤਿਤੇ ਤੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਵਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾਦਿਕੰ ਹ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ ਤਮਾਹਤ੍ਯ ਮ੍ਰੁʼਤਪ੍ਰਾਯੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਯਯੁਃ|
31 By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
ਅਕਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਏਕੋ ਯਾਜਕਸ੍ਤੇਨ ਮਾਰ੍ਗੇਣ ਗੱਛਨ੍ ਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਮਾਰ੍ਗਾਨ੍ਯਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵੇਨ ਜਗਾਮ|
32 In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
ਇੱਥਮ੍ ਏਕੋ ਲੇਵੀਯਸ੍ਤਤ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਨ੍ਤਿਕੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਤੰ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯਾਨ੍ਯੇਨ ਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵੇਨ ਜਗਾਮ|
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion,
ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵੇਕਃ ਸ਼ੋਮਿਰੋਣੀਯੋ ਗੱਛਨ੍ ਤਤ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾਦਯਤ|
34 came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
ਤਸ੍ਯਾਨ੍ਤਿਕੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਤੈਲੰ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਰਸਞ੍ਚ ਪ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਪ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਤਾਨਿ ਬੱਧ੍ਵਾ ਨਿਜਵਾਹਨੋਪਰਿ ਤਮੁਪਵੇਸ਼੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀਯਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਮ੍ ਆਨੀਯ ਤੰ ਸਿਸ਼਼ੇਵੇ|
35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’
ਪਰਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਦਿਵਸੇ ਨਿਜਗਮਨਕਾਲੇ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਮੁਦ੍ਰਾਪਾਦੌ ਤਦ੍ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਸ੍ਵਾਮਿਨੇ ਦੱਤ੍ਵਾਵਦਤ੍ ਜਨਮੇਨੰ ਸੇਵਸ੍ਵ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਯੋ(ਅ)ਧਿਕੋ ਵ੍ਯਯੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਤਮਹੰ ਪੁਨਰਾਗਮਨਕਾਲੇ ਪਰਿਸ਼ੋਤ੍ਸ੍ਯਾਮਿ|
36 Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?”
ਏਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਤ੍ਰਯਾਣਾਂ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਦਸ੍ਯੁਹਸ੍ਤਪਤਿਤਸ੍ਯ ਜਨਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪਵਾਸੀ ਕਃ? ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਕਿੰ ਬੁਧ੍ਯਤੇ?
37 He said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
ਤਤਃ ਸ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਪਕਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ ਯਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਦਯਾਂ ਚਕਾਰ| ਤਦਾ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ ਤ੍ਵਮਪਿ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਥਾਚਰ|
38 As they went on their way, he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
ਤਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਤੇ ਗੱਛਨ੍ਤ ਏਕੰ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਵਿਸ਼ੁਃ; ਤਦਾ ਮਰ੍ਥਾਨਾਮਾ ਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੀ ਸ੍ਵਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੇ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਤਿਥ੍ਯੰ ਚਕਾਰ|
39 She had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard his word.
ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਮਰਿਯਮ੍ ਨਾਮਧੇਯਾ ਤਸ੍ਯਾ ਭਗਿਨੀ ਯੀਸ਼ੋਃ ਪਦਸਮੀਪ ਉਵਵਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਤਸ੍ਯੋਪਦੇਸ਼ਕਥਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਤੁਮਾਰੇਭੇ|
40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.”
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਮਰ੍ਥਾ ਨਾਨਾਪਰਿਚਰ੍ੱਯਾਯਾਂ ਵ੍ਯਗ੍ਰਾ ਬਭੂਵ ਤਸ੍ਮਾੱਧੇਤੋਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪਮਾਗਤ੍ਯ ਬਭਾਸ਼਼ੇ; ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਮਮ ਭਗਿਨੀ ਕੇਵਲੰ ਮਮੋਪਰਿ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਕਰ੍ੰਮਣਾਂ ਭਾਰਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਪਿਤਵਤੀ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਭਵਤਾ ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿਦਪਿ ਨ ਮਨੋ ਨਿਧੀਯਤੇ ਕਿਮ੍? ਮਮ ਸਾਹਾੱਯੰ ਕਰ੍ੱਤੁੰ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਤਾਮਾਦਿਸ਼ਤੁ|
41 Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ ਹੇ ਮਰ੍ਥੇ ਹੇ ਮਰ੍ਥੇ, ਤ੍ਵੰ ਨਾਨਾਕਾਰ੍ੱਯੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਚਿਨ੍ਤਿਤਵਤੀ ਵ੍ਯਗ੍ਰਾ ਚਾਸਿ,
42 but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਜਨੀਯਮ੍ ਏਕਮਾਤ੍ਰਮ੍ ਆਸ੍ਤੇ| ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਯਮੁੱਤਮੰ ਭਾਗੰ ਕੋਪਿ ਹਰ੍ੱਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੋਤਿ ਸਏਵ ਮਰਿਯਮਾ ਵ੍ਰੁʼਤਃ|
